Driving through the City of Angels

We headed out this morning on a beautiful, sunny day, to hit up the beaches of Los Angeles before making our way to a show in Victorville. Some may say, "It's November. You can't swim, it's too cold." To that I would say, "We are Wisconsin born! We were raised in the icy waters of lake Michigan and dunked in many a spring fed lake! I have swam until my lips turned blue and still begged for more!"

So we headed down the coast, letting ourselves get toasty in the light of the sun and enjoying the beautiful views. Sunny beach after sunny beach. Then, as we neared Malibu, a dark foggy haze fell upon us. Well, thought Jonathon, we'll just drive to Ventura beach and swim there. Oh no. It was not to be. The dark and fog followed us all the way. We were beaten. To make it clear, had there been a bet, I would have swam. But as it was...I was far too chilly.

L.A. is very different from NYC. Now, to be honest, I know nothing about L.A. I know that actors from New York sometimes disappear, and they usually go to L.A. I think of it as an alternate market. But man, is it different. Looking forward to seeing more of it tomorrow!
