Another whirlwind day! We woke up in Victorville at the La Quinta Inn for a lovely hot breakfast and a real newspaper. There is something about reading a real newspaper that just feels so...adult. On our way out we ran into a group of archeologists who found two lost Australian shepherd mix puppies in the desert and took them in. The puppies looked exhausted, but healthy and happy.
Then we went to the Santa Clarita Mall on our way to CalArts. That place is HUGE! We don't see many malls in NYC, so it was fun to wander around and take in the sites. Santa was in, as was a teenage Christmas tree with present shoes.
The show at CalArts was a lot of fun. We were in a coffee house, and which gave us the opportunity to have passersby join us for the show. We also met a lot of artists that we hope to get involved in the project--animators! dancers! musicians! Huzzah!
