This morning we ran to the beach from the lovely home of Steve and Sarah Gabb, who live not that far from Venice Beach. After running in the sun we felt warm and brave, and we decided that it was now or never. We tossed off our t-shirts, and dunked ourselves into the icy waves of the Pacific. To say that we swam would be slightly exaggerating. We gasped and sputtered and dove under the waves just long enough to numb our legs so that they no longer felt the cold. It was lovely. And literally breath taking.
We then headed out to the beautiful Grace Church in Yorba Linda. What a view from their church! The whole vista was spread out before the large windows in the sanctuary, complete with rolling hills and a picturesque freight train. After a lovely concert, we shared a meal and were able to meet and chat with people.
We are now comfortably settled in at a quaint inn in Riverside, where we will play for the 9:30 service and have a concert afterward at 11am. Then perhaps we will find more adventures!
