Northern Lights

I have to apologize for not having a more regular blogging schedule, but truly our concert schedule is packed to the gills and there is little time for anything else!

After our Monday concerts we headed back to Mantitowoc, where Jonathon attended high school. It was a lovely church, and we were thrilled to meet the Pastor, who was the father of one of our dear friends from New York. We met some lovely people--and they were great at singing along!

That night we headed up to the Iron Mountain area, so that we would be able to spend a whole day at Jonathon's father's cabin. Since we left after the concert, we didn't actually arrive until a little after 1 in the morning. Sure, we were tired--but we also caught an amazing display of Northern Lights. They started as greenish streaks, morphing around the horizon, and by the time we went to bend, they were pulsing through the entire sky. Thought we couldn't remember exactly how they were formed (magnetic fields, solar flares....) we were utterly amazed. They were my first Northern Lights and they were spectacular!
