We have made it to southern California and it's a chance at summer all over again, just in time for my birthday. We went to Pismo Beach for some amazing clam chowder at Splash Cafe and had a beautiful drive to Santa Maria for our concert at Star of Bethlehem. I even had some birthday ice cream thanks to the Degners!
Tonight we played for a lovely group in Santa Barbara. I've probably said this before, but the best part of this trip, besides getting to share our music, is meeting so many amazing people.
Tomorrow we have a day off in Santa Barbara. We'll be hitting the beach (hey, I swim in Wisconsin lakes, I can handle it) hiking, and being charmed by the city. I can't wait. See you all on Thursday in Victorville, and Friday at CalArts!
